One Found Sound 3/2

One Found Sound

Friday December 11th, 8pm

One Found Sound's second concert of their third season: 3/2, featuring an exciting combination of classics and rarely performed masterworks. Edgar Varèse's Octandre, Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C major, Op. 48, and Benjamin Britten's Sinfonetta, Op. 1.

One Found Sound is a conductorless and collaborative chamber orchestra on a mission to break down the barriers of classical music through unique concert experiences. A radical new way to hear music rooted in the connection between humans making art together, One Found Sound's performances invite audience members to feel the same tension and release, happiness and sorrow, and struggle and triumph as those of us performing. Deconstructing the typical hierarchy of the classical orchestra model, One Found Sound places the artistic vision collaboratively in the hands of its members, with each musician having equal voice in our musical process and product.
