Abiogenesis: Pulling thread from the Ether gathers the work of Philip Beesley and Casey Curran around a shared phenomena yet to be observed in the wild, but theorized as the defining moment between the inert and the living. Their work is an assemblage of unmistakably artificial elements, but through accumulation, repetition, and movement these elements begin to take shape. Lace work becomes membranes. Scaffolds become Skeletons. Mechanical gestures breath, bloom, and reach into the world.
